The way we build products has fundamentally changed, but teams are still stuck in the old way. It's your job to get them unstuck.

Most products fail not because entrepreneurs fail to build what they set out to build, but because they waste needless time, money, and effort building the wrong product. In other words, they build something nobody wants.

We call this the Innovator's Bias for their solution.

The challenge is that the Innovator's Bias is immune to lecture. So you can't simply tell people to act differently. You have to challenge their thinking and transform their current mindsets.

This is where coaching comes in.

cfc-coaching.png
The challenge to adoption isn’t about just the merit of the framework or motivation of the teams, but overcoming old habits and new anxieties.

The job of a coach isn’t giving entrepreneurs the right answers, but rather asking the right questions. Rather than providing overly prescriptive tactics that have a limited expiration date, a coach should instead guide the strategy with time tested principles and a toolbox of business model design patterns.

That's what we teach you how to do in this workshop.

“Lean Startup, or Business Model Design, or Design Thinking?” is the Wrong Question

In order to achieve breakthrough innovation, you shouldn’t be limiting yourself to any one of these frameworks, but rather using all three…and possibly more.

The way you do that is by thinking in terms of a framework of frameworks.

While each of the frameworks above overlap, each has a specific superpower that tends to stands out above the others. The Continuous Innovation Framework is a curated collection of the best frameworks, methodologies, and tactics for building what customers want and achieving business model results.

Practice trumps theory

Our mentor network is made up of practicing entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, educators, and mentors that span the globe.

That means we consult with many of the top universities, accelerators, and organizations around the world. To date, we have put over 1,000 teams through this program spanning over 20 countries. This is the learning flywheel that helps us continuously evolve our battle-tested playbooks.

CI Playbooks
Playbooks are curated step-by-step guides that teach key mindsets, strategies, and tools for going from idea to scale.

But that's not what makes us different. What sets us apart is that we are first and foremost practicing entrepreneurs.

The Continuous Innovation Framework was built by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs and it shows.

Entrepreneurship is like a martial art. You can't simply read or teach it, you have to live it. We practice what we teach and the more we coach, the more we learn and share, the better results everyone gets.

We certify a select number of Coaches each year. A LEANSTACK Certified Coach can consult with individual businesses to help them implement Continuous Innovation principles and create an innovation process that works. LEANSTACK supports these Coaches with immersive hands-on training, a license to use our framework, and a mentor network.

Are you ready to become a coach? The first step is attending a mentor training workshop.

What you'll learn?

In the Mentor Training Workshop, we go beyond the principles of the Continuous Innovation Framework and teach you tactical techniques and common patterns you can use for coaching teams. These were developed through thousands of coaching hours.

You'll learn battle-tested patterns and coaching systems for putting the Continuous Innovation Framework to practice at various stages of the innovation funnel whether at a startup accelerator, corporate innovation lab, or a university classroom.

The biggest obstacle to getting entrepreneurs to practice continuous innovation is overcoming old habits. You’ll learn how to create transformations by working from the inside out — starting with mindset shifts, then teaching skills, and finally delivering business model outcomes using our playbooks.

What Others Are Saying

The Continuous Innovation Workshops helped me to better understand how to leverage the lean canvas tool and continuous innovation framework to support entrepreneurs in our community.
- Cameron Law, Executive Director of the Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Terrific course! Ash took so much time to answer questions thoroughly and the course had great information. I feel like I am so much more prepared to advise my student entrepreneurs. I learned so much more new information in this course such as the traction model. The traction modes is the part I’ve been missing when trying to advise my students.
- Ben Eng, Marshall University and the iCenter

I feel a deeper understanding of the principles behind the concepts.
- Stefan Sysko

I feel like I got very raw and non-fluffy concepts, which is what I came for. I've been relentlessly searching for training/ resources that truly reflect reality, and this one nailed it.
- Abdulmohsen T. Alduwaisan

Excitement, feeling more clarity as to how to approach some current projects.
- Gillian Julius

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do you deliver remote workshops?

We deliver our remote workshops over a Zoom meeting and use the breakout rooms feature for team activities. If you haven't experienced break out rooms, it's a killer feature.

2. How do you maintain a high level of interactivity?

We do two things.
1) We limit participation to 20 attendees per workshop.
2) We ask everyone to connect with audio and video enabled.

Check out some video samples from past workshops:

3. Are there any downsides of remote vs. live?

Sure, we won't get to shake hands... but's that's probably a good thing for the time being :)

On the upside, because the workshop is delivered remotely, you don't need to travel or commute.

We also record these sessions, so you'll have a replay of the workshop that you can review even after the workshop.
